What is our Vision
Visions are visual experiences of any kind.
In the Bible they refer to times when God revealed things to the prophets.
Proverbs 29;18 says "if there is no vision the people will perish".
At Lakes Community Church we know that without vision we will perish and we will be executing our own plans and not God's
Zecharia 2;1-13 tells of a prophetic vision, they see a young man with a measuring rod in his hand trying to measure Jerusalem. He is trying to find out where the walls will be put, but God has other plans
God asked the people to rebuild the temple and not the walls.You see He knew that there would be so many people in Jerusalem that the walls would not contain them.
We believe that we are building a house for the Lord without walls. A house that will not exclude anyone and will be a place of healing and worship for all to come.There will be so many people that want to come in that we will need a place without walls, no restictions.
The Jews had just come out of exile and knew freedom at last.
We at Lakes Community Church have come to know a new freedom in God and we have built a church without walls that will not restrict what God can do and what He wants to perform in His time.
Our vision is for a place of healing and deliverance for hurting people and a place where God is worshipped and adored.
We have a center for the youth and children where they can be taught family values and about the Love of God.
Calling all young people come and find life and joy at Lakes, Heart of the Kawartha's.
We want a place where Seniors can come for good company and fun.
A book store and coffee shop and a center where people of all ages can come for help and counselling.
We cannot say to people "NO ROOM" just like they said to Jesus at the inn.
We must make room for Jesus and for People.
